“Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah's greatest strengths lie in its private beachfront and impressive array of family-oriented amenities, including a lazy river and dedicated kids' club. While some may find aspects of the resort dated, the luxurious spa suites set within lush gardens offer a definite counterpoint. I believe the Turtle Ranger program, highlighting the hotel's commitment to conservation, is a particularly unique and valuable feature.”

Check-in was fast. All staff members were friendly and professional. The beds and pillows were super comfy, ensuring good sleep. The setting of the hotel is beautiful, with lovely ocean views and the sound of waves.

The walking path lacked shade. Additional trees are necessary. During the day, it became really difficult to walk in the hotel area.

I enjoyed the accessible sister hotels. The restaurants offered various menus. More beach beds are necessary. They need umbrellas on the beach.

The gym requires improved maintenance as some equipment showed wear.

Rooms

9/10

The room includes a king bed with soft linens. A minibar is present, stocked with various beverages. I appreciated a separate seating area with comfortable chairs.

Dining

8/10

Breakfast had a vast selection of pastries. Fresh fruit juices were available each morning. The main restaurant provides buffet and a la carte options.

Facilities

9/10

The pool area includes a dedicated children's section. There is a lazy river for relaxation. I noted a well maintained tennis court.

Service

10/10
